Final Degree Project

Case studies and best practices

This research project addresses the specific issue of sexual assistance aimed at women with functional diversity and more deeply addresses sexuality in these women. To address this issue, we consider it important to reflect the differences between the concepts of disability (disabling) and functional diversity (diverse people or with other abilities). Once the concepts were defined and having done an in-depth work about what was legislated in this regard, we focused our research on how women with functional diversity lived their sexuality (from an experiential, social, professional point of view) and on trying to Define the figure of the sexual assistant. All this was explained from different points of view, including that of women with functional diversity as a fundamental aspect. It should be noted that all people according to WHO have the right to freely live their sexuality.
