Case studies and best practices

The Catalan government is designing the elaboration process of the Urban Agenda for Catalonia. A strategic project that will establish the guidelines of urban policies for the incoming years, in order to achieve a fully sustainable urban development. The Agenda is based on six thematic pillars as it follows: Healthy Urban Habitats, Welfare, Urban Quality, Prosperity, Territorial dimension and Good Governance. Linked to the Urban Agenda, the Catalan government has created the Urban Assembly, a multi governance body, composed by all levels of administration (regional and local) and stakeholders, whose main propose is drawing up the Urban Agenda.
