WeAppHeroes, is a new app designed to strengthen local volunteering and align this action with addressing the global SDGs within urban centres. The app platform creates a real-time call-to-action where users reach out for assistance and immediately get help from other users in the area. For example a ‘help request’ can be created to build a community vegetable garden, in which those who are looking to contribute, search and offer to be a ‘hero’ for this project. This type of activity contributes to the following SDG goals: number 11 Sustainable City and Communities, 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, 13 Climate Action and 15 Life on Land. WeAppHeroes is available for download at Google Play and will be soon at the App Store. http://www.weappheroes.com/
