The Expo 2020 Dubai is proud to organize the first ever World Expo held in the region welcoming the world to learn and exchange at the United Arab Emirates for a period of six months. The Expo pursues the goals of celebrating culture, collaboration and innovation while focusing on important issues for the future such as enhancing opportunities, facilitating mobility and improving sustainability. The Expo 2020 Dubai is open to everyone and anyone willing to leave a meaningful and lasting legacy for the future.

Expo’s Global Best Practice

Progress has occurred across many of the global goals that address the most pressing world challenges of our time, calling on collaborative partnerships across and between actors to balance the three dimensions of sustainable development: social wellbeing, economics and the environment.

Successful implementation requires this global agenda to be localized within countries, communities, neighborhoods and households to ensure no one is left behind. To that purpose, The Global Best Practice Programme intends to add value and advance our collective impact towards achieving the SDGs – “Small Steps, Big Leaps: Solutions for Sustainable Impact”. It will spotlight initiatives for localizing SDGs that can be adapted, replicated and scaled for enhanced worldwide impact.

The Global Best Practice Programme aims at enhancing the visibility of best practices for a better 2030, bringing stakeholders together to chart actions for greater results. The Programme will have a far-reaching presence throughout the globe, drawing worldwide media attention, as well as an estimated 25 million visits, throughout the duration of the event.

What is a Best Practice? Where can they come from?

The concept of Best Practice is used to define successful projects that provide tangible solutions to the world’s biggest challenges. These projects are associated with the initiative of a myriad of actors such as nations, international organizations, businesses, educational institutions and communities from across the world.
