The Chilean Association of Municipalities is calling, within the framework of the Municipal Training School, Summer 2018: "Forming better municipalities for Chile", to the First Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals, SDOs, belonging to the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. This workshop aims to address some of the main challenges for Chile and its local authorities, especially the formulation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
The general objective of this workshop is to share a set of learning tools, developed by UCLG, ART UNDP and ILO, with representatives of cities and regions of Chile. Provide an analytical, conceptual and instrumental framework that allows a general knowledge of the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda. And, at the same time, understand and glimpse its use as an instrument for management and local public policies, especially through tools for: (a) the participatory development of development visions in line with the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, (b) the exploration of trends and construction of alternative scenarios to the future, (c) the execution of exercises in advance to support the of decisions by the local governments of the municipalities of Chile and (d) the formulation of lines of action to achieve the desired future.
The activity is organized jointly by the Chilean Association of Municipalities (AChM); the Latin American Federation of Cities, Municipalities and Municipal Associations, FLACMA; United Cities and Local Governments, UCLG and the UNDP Territorial Networks Articulation Program (ART).
The participation has a cost for the partner municipalities of the AChM of $ 300,000, this payment can be made through a transfer to the AChM account or canceled at the time of accreditation with a nominative check to the Association.
