SDG Brazil Network (Rede ODS Brasil) is a collective, created in July 2015, formed by institutions of the Government; Higher Education, Research and Extension Institutions; and Civil Society Organizations that aim to establish multisectoral partnerships that contribute to the effective implementation of the Agenda 2030 in the country.
Aware that this implementation depends on adequate, coherent and articulated public policies and legislation, the IV National Meeting of the SDG Brazil Network will have as its theme Capacity Building for Localizing and Tracking Progress of the Agenda 2030. And its programming will be divided into three stages:
• 11/18 - Field Visit (closed to member and guest institutions).
• 19 and 20/11 - Panels, followed by debates (open to the public).
• 11/21 - 2020 ODS Brazil Network Planning (closed to member and guest institutions).
The entire program of the Meeting is based on the Final Report of the Thematic Chamber Partnerships and Implementation (CTPMI), of the National Commission for Sustainable Development Goals (CNODS), linked to the Secretariat of Government of the Presidency of the Republic (SEGOV).
CTPMI was established by Resolution No. 02/2018-CNODS, with the purpose of supporting CNODS decisions through the elaboration of technical studies and proposals regarding the development and improvement of policies and actions (related to partnerships and means of implementation) necessary to achieve the goals and targets of the Agenda 2030.
It was effective from July 2018 to June 2019. And its coordination was shared by SDG Network Brazil, representing the civil society segment; and Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC), representing the government segment.
Although CNODS was extinguished on June 28, through Decree No. 9,759 / 2019, the SDG Network Brazil understands that the technical studies and proposals that make up the Report are essential subsidies for the effective implementation of Agenda 2030 in the country. Therefore, its content must be democratized, debated and incorporated by all segments of society.
